AmazingAir

AmazingAir is built around a straightforward idea: that the air inside our homes should be as clean as the air outside, and in many cases far cleaner. Using independently tested UltraHEPA technology that captures particles as small as 0.003 microns – one hundred times smaller than the standard HEPA filters used in hospitals and aircraft – their purifiers are engineered to a specification that most domestic air purifiers simply don’t come close to.

What makes AmazingAir different is the combination of filtration technologies working together. Their UltraHEPA filter handles ultra-fine particles – dust, pollen, mould spores, bacteria, viruses – while a separate dual-action Carbon/Gas Trap/VOC filter tackles the invisible threat: volatile organic chemicals, formaldehyde, ozone and other gases that standard filters miss entirely.

The design philosophy is practical. No installation, no complicated setup, no specialist knowledge required. Their WhisperJet fans run significantly quieter than comparable purifiers, and a built-in air quality sensor means the unit reads the room and adjusts automatically. You don’t have to think about it – which, for something that’s running constantly in the background of your home, matters.

AmazingAir has been independently tested against coronavirus and certified at 100% efficiency for particles at or above 0.003 microns. That level of testing transparency is, frankly, unusual in this category, and it’s one of the reasons the brand sits on Life Favourites.

I have this one running in my bedroom. We spend around a third of our lives asleep, and the quality of the air during those hours matters more than most people realise – dust, mould spores, VOCs from furniture and cleaning products, all of it circulating while we rest. The 2000 handles a space up to 28 square metres cycling the air four times an hour, and it runs quietly enough that I forget it’s there. Which is exactly how it should be.

This is the one I have in my main area of the house – where I’m usually sitting writing for my book! It covers a much larger footprint than the 2000, and the auto mode means it reads the room and adjusts without me having to think about it. What I find genuinely reassuring is the VOC filter – formaldehyde and other gases from everyday household materials are invisible and largely odourless, so you’d never know they were there without something actively removing them. That’s the detail that stayed with me when I first heard about AmazingAir.
